Over the past 10 years the Nancy Campbell Scholarship Foundation has been providing academic scholarships and needs-based bursaries to deserving children and youth, allowing them the special opportunity to study and grow at the Nancy Campbell Collegiate Institute. As you may know, NCCI became a self-sustaining not-for-profit organization in 2009. Accordingly the Foundation is changing its name to the NCCI Foundation to reflect a wider role in funding some of the material needs of the school.  The foundation has a new website address which is:   NCCIFoundation.com.

To help support the growing needs of the school the NCCI Foundation is kicking off two fund raising campaigns.  The first is the 2010 Fund Raiser.  The goal of this campaign is to have every family, person or business that deals with the school donate to the Foundation as a show of support to the mission of the school.  The goal of universal participation (100%) is more important than the actual amounts contributed, as it shows the school and students that everyone whose lives they touch is committed to backing their academic and moral education.  New this year is the option for the donor to either specify that their donation is earmarked for scholarship and bursaries, or for materials, such as projectors, music instruments, smart boards etc.  The donor may also leave it to the discretion of the NCCI Foundation to allocate the money wherever the need is greatest. In either case the key thing is for you to demonstrate materially your support for the school as generously and sacrificially as possible.

The second fund raising campaign is the Grad Year Challenge. This campaign will invite current and previous graduating classes to vie with each other in raising money for the Foundation.  We hope this challenge will be stimulating and fun.   The on-going tally of contributions from this year’s grads and previous grads will be posted on the NCCIFoundation.com website. 

Please consider donating to either or both of these campaigns.  It is important for the school to see 100% participation from everyone involved with the school.  Your donation, whatever the amount,  will help change the lives of many students from around the world and will help the school in developing young talent into strong and capable moral leaders that will make the world a better place.
